Denise has always been a hyperactive child and her mother enrolled her to extracurricular activities as a means to channel her hyperactivity artistically.
She is trained in ballet, tap and jazz under Ong Hooi Koon, Sonia Quah, Ester Ong, Tiffany Wrightson, Natalie Clarke, Tara Wiggins, Nicholas Long and Andy Cai and Nikki Snelson.
Denise was also part of the KL Children’s Choir under the direction of Susanna Saw and is currently vocally trained by Cha Seng Tiang in classical singing.
While in Singapore, Denise studied at Lasalle College of the Arts and received her degree in Musical Theater from Goldsmiths, University of London. She performed in plays and musicals such as the Taming of the Shrew (Kate), Into the Woods (Rapunzel/Florinda) and Daily Life Everlasting (Opera Singer), and also performed for television – Singapore’s 2016 National Day music video “Tomorrow’s Here Today”. She was in ExplorerKids’ educational children’s shows in 2016 and was a full-time dance instructor at All That Jazz Dance Academy.
Denise has moved back to KL and is excited to be involved in the local arts scene as a performer and educator.
